The County of Los Angeles Department of Parks and Recreation has a long, proud history which has brought us to where we are today. Prior to becoming the Department of Parks and Recreation, operations and facilities were managed by 1) the Parks Division, which was responsible for maintaining all physical aspects of parks under the Forester and Fire Warden’s Office, and 2) the Department of Los Angeles County Strategic Plan In Aprilthe CEO’s Office issued a report called Driving Transformative Change in Los Angeles County.

This report traced the path of Board Priorities and identified certain critical next steps to continue moving forward in addressing some of the County’s most critical  › Home.

This report presents a proposed Concept for the long-range development of the City of Los Angeles, together with the goals upon which it is based. The concept is intended to serve as the basic framework for the Los Angeles General Plan, which is scheduled to be completed by the end of The report We All Need Parks.

Unprecedented in scope and scale, the Countywide Parks and Recreation Needs Assessment quantifies the need for parks and recreation resources in Los Angeles County (Cities and Unincorporated Areas) and estimates the potential cost of meeting that need.
